Several fundamental principles of CNC Lathe processing technology

We know that CNC Lathe is a highly complex processing equipment. Before the workpiece processing program is compiled, the processing technology must be completed according to the planning requirements and processing content of its drawings. Generally speaking, the principles of processing technology should follow the following basic principles:

1. The processing principle of roughing first and then finishing.

In general, in order to ensure the processing quality of the workpiece, we divide the workpiece processing into two stages: roughing and finishing. For workpieces with higher machining accuracy, a semi-finishing stage is added. This principle should also be followed when CNC lathes are used for CNC machining. CNC lathes can quickly remove most of the machining allowance, reduce the number of tool passes as much as possible, and shorten the roughing time when the workpiece is roughed by the CNC lathe. During finishing, the first step is to ensure the accuracy and surface quality of the workpiece, so generally, the workpiece should be continuously finished with one knife during finishing.

2. The principle of one-time clamping positioning.

The basic processing feature of CNC lathes is to complete the multi-process machining of workpieces in one clamping. Therefore, when the workpiece processing technology is recognized, the processing steps should be concentrated to a great extent. Reduce the number of clampings as much as possible to reduce unnecessary positioning errors and repetitive clamping processes.

3. The principle of processing inside and out.

When the workpiece to be processed has both inner and outer surfaces and needs to be processed, when arranging the processing sequence, the inner and outer surfaces of the workpiece should be processed first and then the outer surface. After finishing the inner and outer surfaces.

4. The processing principle of the first face and then the hole.

As we said earlier, CNC lathe is a compound machining machine, which can not only perform turning, but also boring. When there are both planes and holes on the workpiece to be machined, it should be carried out in the order of turning the plane first and then boring. Due to the large cutting force when turning the plane, the workpiece is prone to deformation. First, the face is turned and then the hole is boring, so that it can recover for a period of time. , and then boring the hole after it recovers its deformation, which is beneficial to ensure the machining accuracy of the hole.
