When the doors to Hall H3 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center opened on March 3, the Leichman booth became the center of a global conversation.I was hosting an automotive parts supplier from Brazil, Marcos, who pointed to the LK200MSY twin-spindle mill-turn machine at the show and asked, "Can this machine machine smoothly machine motorcycle engine blocks?" Case 1: The Durability Test – Dubai's Desert ChallengeKhalid, a metal fabrication plant owner from the UAE, showed a video of his sand-blasted workshop on his phone. Beyond Machines: Partnerships Forged in Metal
The real magic happened between demo sessions:
- A Turkish manufacturer shared kebab skewers with engineers while discussing aluminum alloy settings.
- A Kenyan buyer swapped wildfire stories with the sales team, bonding over machine cooling systems.
An Italian designer sketched some art deco railing designs on a napkin and asked, "Can your LK160 make this?" (Spoiler: It did.)
