The chips generated during the machining of CNC Lathe with slant bed must be conveyed by means of conveyors. The chip conveyors are generally set in the trenches under the base of the machine tool. The chips and cutting oil discharged from the machining area directly fall into the trenches and are transported by the chips. The machine is shipped out of the system. There are mechanical, fluid and pneumatic conveyors, and the mechanical type has a wide range of applications and is suitable for various types of chips.
There are many types of mechanical chip conveyors, among which flat chain, scraper and screw chip conveyors are more common:
1. The flat chain conveyor is driven by a steel flat chain belt pulled by a roller sprocket and runs in a sealed box. The chips in processing fall on the chain belt and are taken out of the machine tool. The AGV transports the chip bin to the chip collection area. , to compact the chips into blocks for transport. When this conveyor is used on turning machine tools, it is often integrated with the cutting oil tank of the machine tool to simplify the structure of the machine tool.
2. The closed chain of the scraper conveyor is mounted on two sprockets. The scrapers welded on both sides of the chain scrape the chips and cutting oil in the trench to the underground oil storage tank, and the elevator lifts the chips and pours them into transportation. Transport in car. The lower chain is supported by the support running through the whole line, so that the scraper does not contact the bottom of the groove. In order not to sag the upper chain, it is supported by the upper support. The driving wheel should be determined according to the scraping direction to ensure that the bottom of the chain is tight. The dual conveying grooves are used for the classification and conveying of black and colored chips. The chip shunt baffle in the groove controls the black or colored chips to enter their collection bins respectively, avoiding the mixing of different chips, thereby increasing the use value of the waste.
3. The motor of the screw conveyor drives the screw rod installed in the chip flute through the reduction device. When the screw rotates, the chips in the groove are pushed by the screw rod to move forward continuously and finally discharged into the chip collection box. There are two forms of the screw rod, one is a flat steel bar rolled into a coil spring shape; the other is a helical piece that is welded tightly on the shaft. Its length can be adjusted, and the screws can be connected section by section, usually one set on one machine tool, or one set on several machine tools, or it can run through the whole line.
